Gerik Peterson

Gerik Peterson is a seasoned Software Engineer with over 15 years’ experience in full-stack web development and leadership. Throughout his consulting career, he has adapted seamlessly across diverse teams, industries, and environments, including Equities, InsurTech, Energy, and Gaming. His roles have spanned Data Analyst, Engineer, Engineering Manager, and most recently, Head of Engineering at the London-based Radically Digital.

A lifelong learner, Gerik is passionate about exploring new technologies. While he’s experimented with blockchain and recently built an OpenAI integration, his primary focus is data. He has extensive experience with both on-premise and cloud-based solutions, having designed ETL systems using AWS services like Lambda, Athena, Glue, and Batch, developed integrations with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, worked with AWS OpenSearch, and created a dynamic query platform with Google BigQuery.

As a certified Scrum Master and Agile advocate, Gerik values open, healthy communication within his teams, empowering his colleagues, and mentoring emerging talent. In his personal time, he enjoys singing in several London choirs, playing the piano, climbing, and visiting family in California.
