Sillion enhances sustainability communications expertise with three team additions
The UK’s leading transition consultancy welcomes three new hires to its specialist communications team
Lucy Smaill joins as Head of Communications from Given (now part of Anthesis) where she was Head of Client Services
Sarah Miscampbell joins as Consultant from Brunswick, where she worked on the global sustainability team
Caelan Crerar joins as Consultant from Stand, where she led the agency’s largest client
July 22, London UK – Sillion, the transition consultancy, has expanded its communications team with three new members, from Anthesis, Brunswick Group, and Stand. The additions will increase the business’ range of strategic experience as well as its capacity to take on new clients.
Sillion combines tools, data, and multidisciplinary expertise to help clients understand the changing expectations of stakeholders, and then communicate with credibility and integrity. As well as a communications offering it provides considerable technical expertise on decarbonisation and the sustainability transition.
Existing clients include: The National Trust, Schroders, Britvic, the ISSB, the GRI, Aston Martin, Biffa, and many more. Within communications services, the company provides support for corporate communications, sustainability narrative, stakeholder engagement, and internal communications.
Lucy Smaill joins as Head of Communications from Given, a purpose-focused strategic consultancy, where she served as Head of Client Services, managing the client services team and delivering award winning work for companies including John Lewis Partnership, Lloyds Banking Group, and Centrica. Lucy brings over a decade of experience in communications, client services, and sustainability initiatives.
Sarah Miscampbell, formerly of Brunswick Group, also joins the team. At Brunswick, she advised businesses on sustainability leadership strategies. Earlier in her career, Sarah conducted corporate reputation studies at Ipsos MORI.
Caelan Crerar comes from Stand, where she developed and executed communications strategies for fintech clients and has prior experience with institutional investors and environmental NGOs at Canada’s Argyle.
Sillion recently published its 2024 State of Sustainability Communications report , highlighting corporates’ concerns around: the growing need for expert sustainability communications, the heightened risk of mistakes, and the existing skills gap in sustainable literacy within communications teams.
